Hello to all Steve Earle fans!

I came across Steve Earle's music couple of months ago, and while I am definitely not a rabid fangirl, I do have to (emphasis added) listen to his music at least once a day.  I am well on my way towards having all of his songs on my MP3 player, so I can have them with me at all times.  Okay, that sounded a bit obsessive. 

 I would love to see him perform live, but he does not appear to tour the west coast at all - why is that?

Greetings, Sparkle, seems Steve played at Royce Hall (UCLA?) , Solano Beach by San Diego ealrlier in the tour.

Iris has a thread on an appearance in Golden Gate Park in SF first week in October - not too bad a drve from LA.  Looks like a tour of Australia and New Zealand to follow.  Whew, almost a solid year of touring, can't imagine.

Yes, your best bet is the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in San Francisco October 3-5. Steve will be appearing with the Bluegrass Dukes, and typically he is the last act on Saturday. If Allison is added to the bill, you can count on him joining her for a song or two. HSBF also has a songwriters circle, and Steve is usually a part of it.

Justin is also on the bill. Does Steve ever sit in with his son?
