I know it's a novel and I believe the story centres around a doctor who is haunted by the ghost of Hank Williams. I can't actually remember where I read that so it may well be incorrect...as far as I know it should be published this year.

...fantastic, a new Steve book. I can hardly wait. But I couldn't help but chuckle a little.... a doctor who is haunted by the ghost of Hank Williams?? sounds scary. Wink

the working title is "I'll Never Get Out of This World Alive," about Hank Williams, a doctor and heroin addict, who performs abortions, and San Antonio. The book has been six years in the making.

    Re: steve's new book

Thanks Barrowlands!  I knew that somewhere in the back recesses of my mind I had read the story of the book...but it was WAY back in fall of '07!  Anyway, good to have clarification.

Poor dude!  Six years in the making...Fuck!  Sounds like a MA thesis!  haha!  Probably as painful too!  One day when I was talking to my colleague at work about my then current "writer's block" she said, "Writing is easy.  Just sit down at the computer and open a vein."  I found some sort of strange comfort in her comment!

Here's to Steve's creative writing energy!  Cheers!

Hey Viky!  That is really neat!  Have you been there?!  If so, tell us about it please!  I am brand new Kafka reader...but others of us are enthusiasts of his for sure.  Right now I am reading his book called, Amerika.  So far, so great!

I've never read anything by him. Embarrassed

And I've been to the house to a art exhibition. I think Kafka lived there but it looks a bit different know.

Srry, I have to go now.
