    Q & A Session...

    Hi Kendall,

Just wondering if there was any update on the Q &A Session I suggested on the New West forum?

    Hi Tuco,

I haven't forgotten about your suggestion. Still waiting on a response myself.

    Re: Q & A Session...

    Hello fellow forum member,

Some time ago I suggested to Kendall that it would be good to arrange a Q&A session between Steve Earle and the board.

This is something I have participated in myself on the Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds forum. See these links for more info:

    http://forums.nickcaveandthebadseeds.com/viewtopic.php?t=8395

    http://forums.nickcaveandthebadseeds.com/viewtopic.php?t=9063

We're slowly making ground on getting this set up but we need everyone to publicly voice their interest in this idea. Please add a post below stating your support for my suggestion and invite any other forum members to do the same.

PLEASE NOTE, this would not be a live ‘web-chat’, but a list of questions submitted from the forum members (the best questions selected by Kendall) and Steve’s reply posted on the board. We DO NOT get to speak to Steve directly!

    Love and peace,

    tuco

I'm all for it!!  I could even stow my usual smart ass personality and come up with a serious question.

    Re: Q & A Session...

Cannot thnk of any question, serious or otherwise, that I want to ask, but if other folks are interested in a forum like that I guess there would be no harm.

Maybe once he is off the current tour he would find the time, be interested.

This does sound like a neat idea.  Good that Kendall would select the questions so no idiotic questions irritate the shit out of Steve (or the rest of us!) Haha!  It could be a really cool experience for those on the forum who play music that have player related questions.  Very interesting potential!  I'm in!  That is my two cents.

I agree with Iris' suggestion & love the idea of this addition to the forum.  I know Steve is really busy but it would be great if he could be part of our discussions and if Kendall could modulate.  Yes

    Re: Q & A Session...

I think it's a good idea, as yet I haven't got a question but I'm sure I can think of a few in time.

I shall certainly check out the Nick Cave forums, thanks for the links.

Does it mean there is a your CD, following The Hard Way, we had never chance to listen? I must have it! ;-) What would it contain? What should have followed The Hard Way, beside your dead maybe? :-/

    Re: Q & A Session...

....of course you know I think your idea is brilliant, tuco, and I appreciate the fact that you are pushing the idea forward. A Q & A in any form would be great, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed in hopes that it happens in the future. Maybe Steve could answer our questions in a video. Maybe we could include our home phone numbers with our questions, and he can call us directly to answer our questions....ya know, in between shows.

Yep, I'm in favour of that. Can't think of a question right now but still definitely interested.

    Re: Q & A Session...

I know this idea is still in the works, I just wanted to get this down before it slipped out of my notoriously bad memory.

Question for Steve:  Your music plays like an autobiography to all of your life experiences.  Where do you feel like your music would have gone without them?
